What to expect

You'll never forget your time at Grand Teton National Park. With endless ways for you to do what you love, you can spend your days exploring your passions and time off exploring the natural wonders around you. Our ideal teammate is flexible, personally invested in the success of the organization and park, has a positive attitude, and loves where we work. We’re a close-knit community who does what it takes to get the job done and motivated to provide great experiences for our guests.

  • What can I do on my time off and are there organized activities?

    Signal Mountain Lodge is located right on the shores of beautiful Jackson Lake in Grand Teton National Park. Staff can take out kayaks for free from the marina and boat rentals at a discounted rate. There are also two hiking trails on property, with tons more just a short drive from the lodge. The Signal Mountain Lodge team organizes activities on and off property throughout the season for employees, and the town of Jackson often has concerts, farmers markets, and other fun activities for staff to enjoy!

  • Where can I go shopping or get essential items?

    There is a general store on the property that offers a 30% discount on toiletry items for staff. Aramark will provide transportation to the nearest town of Jackson, WY occasionally throughout the season. 

  • Is there cell phone and internet access?

    There is good cellular coverage throughout the property, with AT&T and Verizon working the best for employees. All properties at the park also have strong internet access.

  • Are there appearance guidelines?

    At all of our properties, we have uniforms depending on your role. We require all of our team members to maintain a professional appearance, including the practice of good hygiene. You can direct inquiries about job-specific grooming standards to our HR Department.

  • Is housing available and what is it like?

    There is dormitory style housing on site, with each room having a private bathroom. Two or three people are often roomed together, and management receives their own room. The employee dorms offer free laundry, common rooms, and employee parking. There is also a large outside area with a volleyball court, basketball court, and various lawn games.

    There are also a limited amount of full hook-up RV sites.

  • Do you hire international applicants?

    We work with CIEE as our J1 visa sponsor. To learn more about opportunities for international students and begin the application process, please click here for the CIEE website.

  • Where can I buy or make food?

    There is an Employee Dining Room that servers three meals per day plus snacks in between mealtimes. Due to the remote location of the lodge, all staff must partake in the meal program.

  • What is the best way to get to property? What transportation options are there?

    If you are not driving, the best way to get to the property is by flying or taking a bus. The closest airports are the Jackson Hole, Salt Lake, and Idaho Falls airports. There are two bus companies that will bring you to Jackson if flying into Salt Lake or Idaho Falls — the Salt Lake Express and Mountain States Express. If traveling by Greyhound, it transfers to the Salt Lake Express.

     

    The Signal Mountain Lodge team will provide transportation to the lodge from the Jackson Hole Airport or town of Jackson.
