What to expect

Join us living, working, and learning in Wyoming! Our ideal teammate has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, is flexible, and is seeking the experience of working in a beautiful setting. Togwotee Mountain Lodge, Scenic Safaris, Mad River, and our connected properties are all unique locations, but our employees everywhere all share a tight knit bond and do what it takes to create amazing experiences for our guests.
  • What can I do on my time off and are there organized activities?

For employees at Togwotee, trips are provided by the lodge for employees to Yellowstone, Jackson, and other remote points of interest for activities like fishing, hiking, sightseeing, and relaxing. In the summer, our teammates enjoy horseback riding, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, scenic float trips, and rodeos. In the winter, snowmobiling cross country skiing, and sledding are the activities of choice.

For employees with Scenic Safaris and Mad River, the town of Jackson offers concerts, farmers markets, great spots for shopping, and other fun activities year-round.

  • Where can I go shopping or get essential items?

The town of Jackson offers stores for shopping and essential items.

  • Is there cell phone and internet access?

There is limited cell reception at Togwotee Mountain Lodge. Verizon offers the best service, while other carriers offer more limited service. The town of Jackson has good cell reception by most carriers.

  • Are there appearance guidelines?

At all of our properties, we have uniforms depending on your role. We require all of our team members to maintain a professional appearance, including the practice of good hygiene. You can direct inquiries about job-specific grooming standards to our HR Department.

  • Is housing available and what is it like?

Togwotee offers room and board for our staff at a nominal cost. This includes three meals a day in our Employee Dining Room and onsite housing with utilities. Employee housing is dorm style: two individuals per room with a bathroom in each room. Some rooms have a chair, a small table/counter space, and possibly a microwave and TV. In an attempt to pair individuals with similar interests, a Housing Questionnaire is sent to each employee before the season begins. Once the season begins there is little to no swapping rooms. Employees are expected to live in a hospitable manner with their roommate. A $125 cash deposit is due at the time of their check-in. The rooms are inspected mid-season as well as check-out. The employee will be refunded their full deposit, minus any housing damages, when they check-out of their room.

Employees of Scenic Safaris, Teton Tour Company, and Sands Whitewater Rafting are not eligible for housing at Togwotee Mountain Lodge and will need to secure their own living arrangements in or near Jackson, WY.

  • Do you hire international applicants?

We work with CIEE as our J1 visa sponsor for international students. To learn more about opportunities for international students and begin the application process, please click here for the CIEE website.

  • Where can I buy or make food?

At Togwotee Mountain Lodge, there is an Employee Dining Room that servers three meals per day plus snacks in between mealtimes. The town of Jackson also has stores where food can be purchased.

  • What is the best way to get to property? What transportation options are there?

For employees at Scenic Safaris and Togwotee Mountain Lodge, we will provide transportation from the town of Jackson or the Jackson Hole Airport to begin the season and at the completion of the employment contract date. Jackson Hole Airport is located 40 miles from us. The airport code is JAC. Idaho Falls (IDA) is the next closest airport, then Salt Lake City (SLC). The Salt Lake Express is a shuttle service from Salt Lake City though Idaho Falls and into Jackson daily. Check their website for current rates and schedules.  Please note that this may be the cheapest option for getting to Jackson. No major bus line stops in Jackson Hole. Greyhound can get you to the Salt Lake Express in Salt Lake City or Idaho Falls. Plan accordingly if you are changing bus lines to get to Jackson Hole on the express.

  • How can I get in touch with the hiring team?
